Tenants at an East Side Providence residence approached PSGC wanting to convert their front lawn into a wildlife-supporting planting. As the design conversation developed, the homeowner joined as well, and the project became a collaborative effort across both. PSGC is currently developing a design that works within the particular constraints of a small urban front yard, dry and hot, with limited space, while complementing the midcentury architecture of the house. The planting will replace turf with native species suited to the site's microclimate, creating a layered, ecologically functional garden at the street edge.
